Singer, actor, writer and composer Amy Kakoura is a multi-faceted creative artist based in the Midlands.
She trained in Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting, and has gone on to forge a career in performance as an actor and vocalist across the UK and abroad in stage productions, TV, and as a lead vocalist for numerous bands including Steamchicken, Those Amongst Us Are Wolves, and the Daily Grind Blues and Soul Revue. She tours annually with concert guitarist Richard Durrant over the winter season as a featured vocalist and collaborator.
She appeared as the featured vocalist on BBC Radio 3’s ‘Words and Music’ last year.
In addition she works as an MD, composer, and writer, often working closely with Talking Birds Theatre, the Belgrade Theatre and Theatre Absolute, in addition to large scale projects (Tappin' In 2022, Coventry City of Culture, Volgograd Twinsong,Exchange, amongst others).
